In 1978 Paul L. Stoodt purchased the agency from his father. A few years later Paul's wife Sandy Stoodt joined him in the agency and they moved their office into the Shelby city limits. Now in its 45th year of operation, Stoodt Insurance Agency is located at 100 W. Main St. Suite 3 Shelby, Ohio.

Paul L. Stoodt is a licensed property casuality agent. He has lived in the Shelby area his whole life. He joined his father in the agency, which was based out of his home in 1976. With growth of customers and diversified products, the agency was then moved into the Shelby city limits. Paul is an active farmer and enjoys helping young 4-H members with their 4-H hog projects. He also enjoys participating in Chili cook offs.

Sandra Stoodt joined the agency in 1989. She is the manager of the day to day operations and holds a property casualty license. Married to Paul they have three grown children and seven grandchildren. For 30+ years, Sandy was involved as a 4-H advisor. She now enjoys scrapbooking and taking pictures of her family. She is also an active member of the First United Church of Christ.
